The Wii Fit has arrived!

Wiifit I've been incredibly busy with life the last week or so and haven't had an opportunity to post as much as I had hoped.  Sorry about that!  I'm hoping to show some new artwork designs within the next week so hang tight!

In the meantime, I wanted to mention that I picked up the new Wii Fit on Wednesday morning and LOVE it!  It is so fun and a great way to get a do-able amount of FUN exercise...especially with it raining outside.  After 2 days my calves are so sore from all the balance games I've played but I can't wait to hop on and do more!

If you have the Wii system I would definitely recommend picking up one of these if you haven't already.  Great for the family and great for easing into a fitness routine.  :)

One more card!

Pbpapergardencard2 Another "Pam-inspired" card that I wanted to be sure to share.  :)  Hope you like it as much as the others.  It was fun to put together and I just searched my stamp sets until I found a stamp that really gave it a good message.  Hope you agree.  :)

I was on Holiday!

Suite To the Mom's of kids and four-legged creatures, I hope you enjoyed a Happy Mother's Day weekend!

My girls bought me flowers to brighten my day and my middle daughter even cleaned up our house without being told...woohoo!  They made me Cranberry-Orange Muffins - my favorite, Mmm!  And we also put a deck on the back of our house...just in time for the weather to hit up into the 90s tomorrow.  Yipee!!

Then, my hubby had to leave on a business trip on Monday morning and I was able to go with him.  We went to Seattle and stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for the night.  Loved it!  I was able to work at the business station that was in the room and everything was so peaceful and enjoyable.  It was alot of fun.  Can't wait to go back again...it's always nice to get away sometimes, wouldn't you agree?  :)

Create your own "Happies" folder!

Folder I received an e-mail this morning from a very thoughtful Team Member of mine, Vikki Atkinson, saying some very kind and motivating words to me.  It very much came from left field this morning, very unexpected, but the main point is that it put a smile on my face and a humbleness in my heart.  :)

So, my question for you is this...  Do you have a "Happies" folder?

On a whim, Vikki inspired me to create a folder in my inbox where I can put all of my little "Happies" - you know, the little things that come unexpected through e-mail that make you feel good about what you are doing, what you are trying to accomplish, and everything in between.  A folder for when I'm experiencing a blue day I can open it up and read the uplifting words and notes that my friends have sent me to help me to turn a blue day into a yellow, sunny day!

If you haven't done so already, I want to inspire you to create your own "Happies" folder!  Call it whatever you like but start using it to help bring a sunshine smile to your day.

...Also makes a great storage place until you find the time to scrapbook it!  LOL  :)

Pretty...Pretty Flower part 3!

Pbpapergardencard1 Yup!  Here comes more inspiration from my friend Pam!  Isn't this an adorable card?  I think it's way cute and I had alot of fun putting it together because it was simple and sweet.

I loved the little embossed lines we did on the Buttercup paper.  I'm going to have to incorporate that technique into more things...it just wasn't a technique that I've given much thought towards before but after doing it I have to say that it was fun and super easy!

Pretty...Pretty Flower!

Pbpapergarden1 My dear friend, Pam, shared some of her beautiful CTMH Paper Garden projects with me over the weekend and I just couldn't help but spread the joy by turning around and sharing them with the readers of my blog.  You can never have too many ideas and inspirations, right?  ;)

I've completed the first page - without pictures (eek!) - but I just couldn't wait to show it off.  Isn't it adorable?  I'm sure it will be that much more "alive" when I add some personality to it with journaling and spring-like photos.  I just love the paper tearing on the flower stem and leaves and I think the overall flower is absolutely stunning!  Don't you?

My goal is to finish up the other side of this layout and show it off in tomorrow's post so please stay tuned because there is still more to come!  ;)

Can "Iron Man" appeal to a chick?

I think I'm going to say...YES!  I loved this movie.  It was surprisingly good.  :)

I was not into comic-books as a kid but my hubby has been dying to see this movie ever since he heard it was in the making.  So...we went.

I've seen a few movies lately that I came out thinking that they were *just okay* ("Forgetting Sarah Silverman" for one).  But Iron Man was actually very good...mostly because even though I thought it was going to be a "guy thing" I honestly liked the idea of not knowing exactly what to expect.  I was even a little skeptical about Robert Downey Jr. playing such a strong character but he pulled it off "Marvel-ously" so to speak...lol.

The other great thing about going to see this movie was the FACT that for ONCE we weren't a magnet for the RUDE theater people that ALWAYS seem to sit by us.  You know the ones!  They like to talk their way through the movie, answer their cell phones, text their friends, and all the other annoying little things that they all like to do...ugh!  That absolutely irritates me!  I know I can't be the only one here!  lol

So again, very enjoyable movie and I would recommend it.  Oooh, and here's a hint for you...remember to stay until the end of the credits for a little something extra.  ;)

Have a great night and weekend!

Challenge: Dessert Personality

Lemonpage Over the past couple of days I have posted about a Dessert Personality quiz followed by the meaning of each dessert.  Each of these posts are currently located in the "Just for Fun" section of my blog.

So, now that we have that out of the way and you have discovered your secret "Dessert Personality", I have a few questions for you...

1.  What Dessert did you choose?
2.  Is it pretty accurate to how you think others view you?
3.  How accurate is it to how you see yourself?

Well, these are the exact questions that got the wheels in my noggin' turnin'.  So, I decided, on a whim, to create a book all about ME!  Something fun and uplifting to look at, something that my kids will get a kick out of when they read through its pages, and something that I can create that will put ME on the paper "spotlight" for a change.   But why stop there?  ...

CHALLENGE:  Scrapbook your "Dessert Personality".
Take a picture of your favorite Dessert or simply download and print one from the internet.  Include the personality description of the Dessert you chose, any thoughts you have about why you chose this Dessert, as well as a favorite recipe of your Dessert if you have one to share.  You can turn this into a 1 or 2 page layout of any size - you are the author so create it the way YOU want it and most importantly...Have fun with this!

For my dessert I picked LEMON MERINGUE PIE!  Mmmm!  I've included a picture of my Dessert inspired 6" x 6" layout for you to see.  The perfect size for a personal-sized About Me style scrapbook, wouldn't you say?  You should be able to click on the photo to view it in a bigger size, too.
